English as a second Language.
Do you know anyone who comes from another country?
English lessons are held at St Mark's Church on Wednesdays for people whose first language is not English.
If English is difficult for someone, they will probably not be reading this, so they need YOU to tell them!
Please ask them to phone David Ranson at Franklin College in the first instance, to arrange to have an initial assessment - Tel 875000 extension 171. They can also call at Franklin College Hub or Adult Guidance Office between 9am and 5pm.

The Modern Sequence Dance Club began at St Mark’s old hall over 20 years ago, held every Saturday night. After many happy times we’ve moved over to the new venue held within St Mark’s Centre just over a year ago, where there are wonderful facilities – i.e. a good dance floor, modern kitchen and excellent toilets.
Our club is run by Edna and Len Brown.
We dance from 8pm until 9.30pm when
we stop for tea and biscuits.
Taking to the floor again we dance until 10.15.
It is such a good night and we have made many friends.
The discs we dance to are great, and all our own kind of music.
The cost is £1.25 per week with 50p membership for the year.
I can’t think of a better way of keeping fit and happy at the same time.
